Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I bring my Mum/Friend/Uncle’s dog?
A: Only people named on a ceremony invitation can attend the beach ceremony due to limited numbers – however if you wish to bring additional people with you, for the rest of your holiday then you are welcome to, please let us know if you wish for your “+1s” to attend the post wedding meal
also if you haven’t been invited to the ceremony, you (and any +1s) are still welcome to engage in any other wedding celebrations.
Q: What if I can’t make it abroad?
A: Charlie and Xander will try and find a way of celebrating with you once they are back in the UK
Q: What should I wear?
A: Weather appropriate clothing is encouraged, but please keep it formal. we don’t expect full suit and jacket. but we would prefer smart shirt, tie and trousers – absolutely no shorts. women to wear smart modest dresses, suitable for warm weather and beach terrain.
Q: I have a gift, when do I give it?
A: We are not expecting gifts, as a commitment to a destination wedding is a gift enough in itself. However if you are wishing to give us a gift, we would recommend doing so, either before, or after the holiday so that neither of us have to waste luggage space on it.
Q: Is my dress too white?
A: Probably, but feel free to send a picture to Charlie for official judgement
Q: Who/When/Where should I book my holiday for/with
A: Who: NOTHING BEATS A JET2HOLIDAY…..cough….. I mean Jet2Wedding! we are booking through Jet2, and we are able to pass on a discount to our guests if they wish to do the same, but feel free to shop around for the best deal
When: We will be flying over to Cyprus on 07.05.27 with the celebrations being on 12.05.2027 and a return flight on 14.05.27 – we would recommend arriving at least 1 day before the ceremony, but we don’t expect you to align all your plans with ours, it’s your holiday too!
Where: We will be staying at Alexander the great Hotel in Paphos, and the ceremony will be on Aphrodites rock at 3pm – We will be trying to arrange transport to the ceremony from Paphos and transport from the ceremony to the post wedding meal, so being within walking distance of Alexander the great Hotel may be beneficial to you
Q: What if I get bored/overstimulated/tired/annoyed during the day?
A: Do whatever you need to do to alleviate the symptoms without creating a fuss for us or other guests, we appreciate people may need space, or to pop out for a bit, no offence will be taken (Xander will probably also have to have a breather at some point, so it would be hypocritical for us to say you couldn’t do the same)
Q: What do I do if another guest is bothering me
A: politely ask them to leave you alone, or move away, if that fails, calmly and politely bring it to our attention and we will do what we can to help
Q: What do I need to go abroad?
A: the obvious bits

- Travel Insurance (Ideally booked as soon as you book your holiday for full coverage)
- Booked flights, and accomodation
